Remove scale deposits before they reduce your efficiency

Remove scale deposits from various surfaces in your industrial setting with the right acid descaler. Scale refers to build up of mineral deposits such as calcium, magnesium and iron that occur over time when surfaces are exposed to water, steam or other fluids. Build-up of scale can lead to reduced heat transfer, blockages, corrosion and other operational issues, which can affect the safe running of a plant and increase maintenance and energy costs.

How do acid descalers work?

As the acid reacts with the scale, it weakens the bonds holding the minerals together. This leads to the dissolution of the scale, breaking it down into smaller particles or completely dissolving it into a liquid solution.

Where can scale be removed from?

Acid descalers are designed to penetrate the scale and reach the underlying surfaces. They can effectively remove scale from various surfaces, including metal, glass, ceramics and plastics. The acid works by chemically attacking the scale and gradually dissolving it.

Formation of scale deposits

Scale deposits are typically formed when hard water or mineral-rich liquids, such as calcium carbonate or limescale accumulate over time. These deposits can obstruct pipes, machinery or equipment; reducing their efficiency and potentially causing damage.

Acid descalers are formulated to dissolve and remove these mineral deposits effectively.

Choosing the right descaling solution

Limescale build-up can cause high energy consumption due to loss of heat transfer efficiency.

Whatever your requirement, we have a range of solutions: from acidic cleaners for condensers, boilers, thermal units and cooling towers, to low foaming descalants for heating and process boilers and condenser units.

Our descalers can also provide you with a solution for removing cement or concrete from surfaces, or to etch concrete surfaces for effective adhesion of sealants, floor paints and other coatings.
